This digital release with the duo Cat's Cradle was recorded live at the venue Barbue in Copenhagen on 12.03.85. At this time Barbue had just opened and Cat's Cradle was actually the third band ever to perform there. The sound engineering was handled by Roland Engelhardt, and it is he who did the distinctive delayeffect of Jakob Grotesque's voice.
The concert was released on cassette the same year and sold in the record store "Gry" in Sankt Peders Stræde in Copenhagen.
The transition from the industrial-based instrumental cassette project Grotesque to the live band Cat's Cradle is here complete and can be seen as a blueprint for Cat's Cradle's direction in the next years (with a few exceptions like "In The Greenhouse").
The full playlist looked like this:
Berliner Pfannkuchen
It Is So Sad Here
Station
Solitude
Sparrow's Call
Close Your Eyes
Give Me
Telltales
Time Slips Away
Lift Off
A good portion of these tracks (Berliner Pfannkuchen, It Is So Sad Here, Telltales and Lift Off) originate from the previous cassette "Fragmenter Af En By", which together with the cassette "Beskrivelse Af En Biotop" experimented with the integration of field recordings. The rest of the tracks, on the other hand, are new songs.
We have restored the old cassette as best as possible.
